Tuxie Tuesday

Happy Tuxie Tuesday - the Captain here. I've been watching it rain lots and lots over the last two days. Mommy says that it's rain from Tropical Storm Fay. I say that my beautiful tuxie lady knew how badly my state needed the rain (Georgia is experiencing a historical record drought) so she sent it to me as a gift. Can you imagine? The rain that I am watching right now is the exact same rain that fell on the lovely Lady Boo. Amazing, even to this seasoned pirate captain, just how small the world really is.

Thankful Thursday

Today is thankful Thursday and Dante and Captain Jack both wanted to let everyone know who they are thankful for.
Dante: I am thankful for my beautiful Black Pearl. Isn't she lovely? She is not feeling very well (and I am very thankful that it is only a cold that ails my beauty) and I wanted to let her know how much I love her and how wonderful I think she is, cold and all! Please feel better soon Pearl - I hate it when you feel bad!

Captain Jack: As always, I am immensely thankful for my Pirate Lady Love, Miss Boo. She is the most perfect Pirate Lady any Pirate Captain could ask for and I am so proud to be able to call her mine. Right now I am planning a rescue mission because just look at what is attacking my Lady and her family right now!
It's Tropical Storm Fay and it just will not go away and leave my Lady in peace. I have decided to rescue My Lady, her family, and all of our Florida friends. On this mission, we will have reinforcements too as the brave Captain George is preparing her lovely sailboat so that all of the woofies can come and assist ua kitties of the Black Furrball on this mission. Which kitties are with me?!?!

Mancat and Mini-Mancat Monday

Captain Jack here! I want to show you kitties what my weekend was like. As you know, the kitten was hurt and had also gotten his first kitten SHOTS so we all kind of took it easy on him. I agreed not to whap him and hiss at him as I usually do and you will not believe what happened. Here's an example:

Yes, he followed me everywhere!! I jumped up on the table to eat and have a photo session and the little bugger followed me. Everytime I turned around, there he was. Just look!

I could not even take a nap on my own. Sigh. Mommy put my favorite blanket on the couch to protect it from the muddy doggies (it rained all weekend) and could I enjoy it all on my own? No, because HE was there. Sigh.

I think I deserve lots of treats for being such a good big brother! I want tons of extra treats and nummies so I can take my beautiful Lady Boo on a picnic - but the shadow kitten has to stay home!!

Thursday Thirteen

Hi kitties!! Do you like my new blanket? Aunt Susan and Uncle Dave brought it back for me from New Orleans (It's an LSU blanket with Mike the Tiger on it!). They say it is really for all of us (Mommy and Daddy too) but I know that its really mine. I am the Captain, and therefore, everything is mine! In fact, I have been laying here on my new blanket thinking about LK coming to live here and have decided that LK can only come here under these 13 conditions:

1. He has to be the cabin boy. I am the Captain and I shall always be the Captain.
2. He cannot have more treats than me, ever - not even on his purrthday.
3. New toys have to be inspected by me before he can play with them.
4. The Nip is mine! And the chick-hen! So is the rum!! And the stinky goodness (I will share with Dante)!!
5. Samwise and I sleep on the bed. We have this right. No one else does.
6. In the den, I get to look out one window and Dante gets the other. LK will have to wait until someone moves if he wants a window - we are not sharing!
7. Mommy is mine. I only share with Samwise. LK can have Daddy with Dante and Beaux.
8. On the porch, I get the corners to sit in and look out on my domain (backyard) and I do not share.
9. Window hunting for birdies is my hobby and again, I do not share.
10. LK can lay on the antique cat bed, as long as he stays on the other side and fetches my drinks when I want them.
11. LK has to stop beating up Samwise. If he hurts my woofie, I will be very displeased.
12. What's mine is mine and what is his is also mine!
13. LK cannot have my LSU blanket. I really like it.

In fact, I think I will lay here the rest of the day and think up more rules for the little squirt!! Or I may dream about my Pirate Lady Love. Oh yes, I shall dream of my Absolutely Beautiful Lady Boo - unless she would care to come and share my new blanket? I would share everything and anything with My Lady Love!!!

Tuxie Toes on Tuesday

It's Tuxie Tuesday again and this week, I have a picture to show you one of my favorite things in the world. Can you guess what it is from the picture below?
If you said, "Oh Jack likes the Nip!" you would be right! This is me on Dante's Boogie Mat (it's orange to match his ginger furrs - mine is actually blue) loving the Nip!! Mom says to tell you that the spots you see on the carpet are not dirt, but are actually even more nip because I go a bit crazy when she puts nip on top of the Boogie for me to roll around on and eat as well! Oh nip is so wonderful!!

This second picture was taken right after I jumped onto the big bed and fell into a Nip induced coma.

Yes these are my tuxie toes. As you can see, even my paw pads are tuxie with some being black and some being pink (pink is the paw pad version of white Mom says). However, one of my back foots has all black paw pads.

Mancat Monday and Other Stuff

Hey everykitty - Dante here! It's Mancat Monday and I have taken over the blog because I have to show you this picture of Jack that was taken Saturday. Mommy has hung up all of the cards we recieved and that includes Jack's special picture of Boo. I jumped up on the table and saw Jack just staring the the picture (2nd from the bottom on the right side of the wreath). I started singing a song about Jack and Boo sitting in a tree and just look at the mean look the Captain gave me. HAHAHAHAHA!Because of this I say, "All mancats must make fun of their brothers when they are sickeningly sweet in love!!" BTW, Hi Pearl! How are you?!?! Did you have a lovely weekend?

Okay, now I have to show you what our beans did to their friend this weekend. Our friend Mikey went to diving in St. Croix all of last week. While he was gone, the beans decided that they would make a surprise for him when he came up. The surprise? They hung the tackiest Christmas lights in the saddest way possible on his house. Here's a pic of what they did:
You cannot really see but only some of the lights work, they are falling off of the house and some blink and others do not. Apparently Mikey was so shocked when he pulled up last night that he was certain it was not his house, but a neighbor's house. The moral of this story is "Do not go off to the Carribean for a week and leave my beans at home in the cold. Weird things will be done to your house if you do!"

In other news, the doggies got their Secret Paws this weekend.

Mommy, however, forgot all of the pictures but this one so they doggies will post all of their pics tommorow. Their Secret Paw was Shadow Saluki and they just love what they got!!

PS - Jack here! My Lady Boo, I am happy that you like the token of my affection you recieved. I thought they pearls and diamonds would just be lovely on you. Yes, I would love it if you would weear it New Years Eve.

Tuxie Tuesday

Guess what I got last night!! Guess! A Christmas card addressed to me (and Dante too) from My Lady Boo. Just knowing that she cared enough to send me a card made this tuxie happy! Thank you My Lady - be watching your mailbox - there might be something special for you there soon!!

Last night we got our Secret Paws all packed up and ready to go. Daddy is going to ship them out today from work. We are so excited! We hope the kitty and puppy who are getting them like what we (and the doggies) picked out!

It's getting closer and closer to Christmas and Santa Paws. I thought I heard him last night so I ran to my window perch in the den so I could look out the window and see him, but sadly it was just the delivery guy -oh wait, not so sad. He had teriyaki chicken that Mommy always shares with me! Happy Tuxie Tuesday everyone!

Thankful Thursday Thirteen

First of all, we want to thank Miss Peach for inviting us to her lovely tea party yesterday and for giving us this beautiful golden rose. Captain Jack wants to make sure that his Lady Boo has a rose, and if not, he would like to give her one too. A pretty lady pirate deserves such a pretty golden rose!


We are glad that so many of you liked our Santa Paws stockings. We were asked why Dante's stocking is missing a candy cane. Well, Dante wanted to play with it so Mommy went ahead and let him have it. They are intended to be toys and he just couldn't wait. In honor of Dante wanting one of his gifts early, Dante is going to do this week's Thursday Thirteen!

This is why Mommy can never put presents under the tree before Christmas Eve - we kitties love to lay around on the skirt and bunny kick presents if she does put them on our holiday "bed." Tree skirts are comfy! Dante's been laying on it ever since the tree went up. This picture was taken while Mommy was still decorating the tree and Dante began claiming the skirt as his!!
