All of us kitties here at Purrageous Pirates were tagged for the 6 word memoir meme by one of our oldest friends, Bendrix! Here it is!

Wordy Wednesday

Those lovely kitties at PB&J, which includes Dante's Beautiful Pearl, have tagged all of us for the nickname meme. Since they tagged us all, this is going to be a very Wordy Wednesday!

Here are the rules:
1. You have to post the rules before you give your answers.
2. You must list one fact about yourself beginning with each letter of your middle name. (If you don't have a middle name, use your maiden name or your mother's maiden name).
3. At the end of your blog post, you need to tag one person (or blogger of another species) for each letter of your middle name. (Be sure to leave them a comment telling them they've been tagged.)

We will go in age order so Samwise will start us off. His middle name is Gamgee!
G- Gardner - because I love love love to dig in the dirt!!
A- Arf Arf! - what my bark sounds like. I do not BARK! like most dogs but do this weird, soft ARF! that makes beans laugh. Aunt Susan says it sounds like I was "de-barked," whatever that means.
M- Mommy's favorite - I know I am her favorite because I am the only one allowed to follow her around 24/7. I know this because I will chase off the other kitties and woofies who try to get too close to her.
G- Garbage dog - Mommy and Daddy call me this because I used to love to tip over the garbage can in the kitchen and spread it out all over the floor so I could see what was in it (they have since brought a so-far Samproof garbage can)
E- Eager - I love to go for car rides and all it takes it Mommy picking up my leash to get me really excited.
E- Extraordinary - Cause I am. Aunt Susan actually called me "the perfect dog" once. I think that makes me very extraordinary!

Next up is Captain Jack. His middle name is Jack!
J- Jumper - Mommy and Daddy are always surprised how high I can jump with no effort. It is not unusual for me to jump to the top of a chest of drawers without blinking or even trying hard.
A- Awesome - cause I am one awesome pirate cat!
C- Captain - Yeah. I am the Captain!
K- King Sized Kitty - I am a rather big cat. I am lithe and slender and still weigh 15 pounds. I am often called Moose Kitty because I am so big!

Third, we have Beaux. He is often called Bozo so Daddy says his middle name should be Zeaux!
Z- Zabernist - which means "bully". Yeah, I bully the kitties from time to time, I admit it!
E- Exuberant - You should see how I jump and dance around when its dinner time!
A - Appreciative - Mommy and Daddy adopted me from the pound and I have always been very appreciative of them choosing me!
U- Uncommonly sweet - Mommy says I am all heart...and no brain!
X- Xtremely talented because I can catch my treats in the air and I can sit and even stay on command.

Finally, we have Dante. He has two middle names, Barbossa and Alighieri. We will use Barbossa for this!
B- Begger - I will beg for treats by loudly mewoing until they hand over the goodies!
A- Awesome - Cause like Jack, I am one awesome pirate cat!
R- Red head - Aunt Susan insists that I am not orange, that I am actually redheaded, just like my Mommy. Yeah, I prefer the term ginger I think.
B- Batter - I am very good at batting things. Anything that is left on a counter or table will soon find its way to the floor!
O- Orange cause I am one gorgeous ginger!!
S- Scarred - I have a huge scar on my back from where a car's fanbelt bit me when I was homeless.
S- Sedate - I am actually a pretty calm kitty. Mommy has often called me "laid back" which she says means I am lazy and like to lie around and relax, and I say it means that I am sedate.
A- Attacker - I definately attack Beaux by whapping chasing him through the house.

Award and Meme

Look what the Captain's Lady Boo and her family gave us! Isn't it wonderful!

Thanks Lady Boo and Abby, Ping, Gracie, and Jinx. We really appreciate it and think you are excellent too (Jack especially thinks that his Boo is the most wonderful kitty alive but he is a bit biased).

1. Since Samwise has been not feeling well, we've been guarding him against Beaux. This means that we get to lay on the back of the couch while Sam spreads out on the cushions and Beaux gets the hardwood floor to lay on! hahahahaha!

2. Lately we've been insisting that we get to sleep on the big bed with the beans at night. Jack curls up around Mommy's ankles and Dante curls up around Mommy's shoulder. We let Samwise (since he is hurt) sleep next to Daddy but we get Mommy! A kitty has to stay warm and snuggling in January after all.

3. Our beans finally bought us new blinds for the big picture window in the living room. We had horizontal blinds before and we had to poke our heads through and hold down the blinds below us and such to look out before but now they bought vertical blinds for us because it makes it easier for us to look outside. We are very spoiled kitties.

Thanks again to everyone who sent their purrs and good wishes to Samwise. He is feeling much better and his owwie looks a lot better too!! We will take care of him and protect him from Beaux until he is completely healed!

Real Name: Captain Jack

Named Captain Jack because: On the day that I came to my forever home, Mommy and Daddy could not figure out a name for me. The kids who found me named me Oreo but that just did not seem to fit for me. That night, Aunt Susan came over to give me a checkup and make sure I was a healthy kitten. Mommy and Aunt Susan got to talking about names and at first they thought of giving me a Lord of the Rings name to match Samwise., but none of them seemed to fit. Other names were thrown around and finally Aunt Susan said "Captain Jack! Cats are defiantely piratey by nature so call him after Captain Jack in Pirates of the Carribean!" Mommy agreed but "catified" my name by calling me Captain Jack Kitten!

Nicknames I like/tolerate: Captain, The Captain, Rabbit (for Jack Rabbit. They've called me this since I was a baby so I tolerate it), Kitty-kitty, Baby Kitty, Kitty Pup (since I was raised by a dog who thinks he is a cat so he is actually a Puppy Cat), and Moose Cat (cause I am a big cat too)

Nicknames I hate: Jack-Jack, Loud Mouth, Big Kitty, Holstein, Kitty Number One, and Cow Cat.

Real Name: Dante

Named Dante because: When I was adopted by the beans, I looked pretty awful - like I had been to the Underworld and back. They named me Dante after Dante's Inferno. It was a pretty fitting name for a Frakenkitty.

Nicknames I like/tolerate: Don Juan, Don Juante, Don Don, Orangey, Snuggle kitty, and Lover Kitty - cause I am defiantely a snuggle, lover cat. I also like Frakenkitty and Great Pumpkin Cat. And let's not forget my pirate names - Sir Dante and Dread Pirate Dante as well as First Mate!

Nicknames I hate: Round cat, Fatty Fatty Two by Four, Tubby Kitty, Fat Cat, Wide Load - you get the point. Hey, if you had been homeless and never knew where your next meal was coming from, you would eat like a cow too! I also hate Kitty Number Two. Sigh.

They're Back and Random Meme from Mickey

First off, we want to thank everyone for their heartfelt good wishes and prayers for Daddy's sister. She is doing well and should be home by now and able to return to work next week. We have not been blogging long, and knowing that so many people already care about us is just overwhelming. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Now on to other things!

Last night, after dark, at about 8pm Mommy says, our beans returned home from New Orleans! They were very glad that they got to go and we were kinda glad too because it meant we got spoiled by Uncle Mark. We did worry about them for a time when we heard something about having hurricanes in the French Quarter (as pirates, we know that hurricanes are not good - after all, one swept Captain Jack off of the Black Furrball) but Uncle Mark said it wasn't what we thought. Mommy says they ate excellent food and had a great time. They even brought us back some gourmet kitty treats from the French Quarter! When they get the pictures they took edited, we'll put some online for you kitties to see. Until then, we've been tagged for our very first meme!!

7 Random and/or Weird Facts About Us!

1. Captain Jack - I love to play with straws so much that when I have one in my mouth, I make a weird yawling sound, almost like I am in pain. The first time I did this, Mommy was so scared because she thought I was hurt when actually I was just playing with a straw. Even now Mommy must remind herself "Oh, Jack has a straw" when she hears that meow.

2. Dante - One of my favorite things to do is to taunt Beaux through the glass on our porch door. He will be outside and I will be inside. I love to stand on my back legs and paw the glass door like mad, right in Beaux's face. This makes Beaux bark a really mean bark that usually gets him yelled at by the beans. I laugh cause he cannot get me AND because I got him in trouble!

3. Captain Jack - I love potato chips. Mommy cannot eat any without sharing or I will stand on her and stare until she gives in.

4. Dante - I love to sleep in front of the fireplace when its lit. If I could, and if Mommy and Daddy would remove the screen, I think I would sleep in the fire - so warm and toasty!

5. Captain Jack - I love water. I drink out of faucets, the water bowl and my fountain. Sometimes, I know my toys are thirsty too so I put them into the water bowl so they can drink....I just forget to take them out sometimes.

6. Dante - I only like crunchy treats. I refuse to eat moist treats like Pounce. Jack can have those - gimme the Whisker Lickins or Temptations!!

7. Both Kitties - We love to play on both sides of a door. Dante gets on one side, Captain Jack on the other, and we attack each other by using our paws under the door. It is so much fun!!
