All weekend when I jumped up on the bed to curl up with my Mommy like I always do and what did I find? Dante - sleeping beside her. All weekend when I went to eat crunchies out of my bowl what did I find? The food was all gone because he had eaten it. But that is okay, cause I got my revenge on his food bowl - I peed in it, yes I did (Jack's Mommy here - someone really did pee on the 2nd bowl not once but twice in the last few days. Both seem to be healthy and not have any UTI problems - anyone have an idea as to why this would happen? We only find it when there are two bowls of food out - and we do put the bowls next to each other. Should I move them apart or just take away the second bowl completely cause if there is only one bowl out, it does not happen)!
Sometimes I just want to be an only kitty again. Dante drives me nuts with his whole "Look at me, I wink at you" and his "Aren't I special? Look at my scar; I was so hurt" thing. Until then, I will plan to trounce him the next time he waddles by me. And I can do it too, just look!
This is a picture of me about to beat him up, cause I am the big brother and I am the Captain so that makes me best so there!!!!
Oh Mommy also wanted to thank all of you kitties and your beans for sending her such heartful get well wishes. She is feeling better and knows that it is partly because of all of you!!

I am so glad that you Mom is feeling better. IT makes efurryone in the whole house feel better too, and I know this for a fact. Oh I hope that you and Dante have made up, he is your sweet brother (although my brothers sometime swat at me-- well I do swat them back, but they can be a pain sometimes) and he really loves you and looks up to you. None of us has ever tinkled in our food bowls though, although don't tell anyone but Abby poos alot outside the box. Momma has to clean it up real quick, Abby can't seem to help it though. So we all just roll our eyes at her when she has her "butt on fire" run thoughout the house. That is a really fine looking picture of you....
Your devoted sweet Miss Boo
I am glad that your human is feeling better.
We haven't had that issue with food dishes so that's a tough one. Have you talked to your vet? A dominant cat may try to keep another cat from eating--and this would be one way to do so!
As Dante settles in, he may be challenging Jack's dominance a bit more and so Jack is fighting back.
Hurray for your mummy feeling better!
It sounds like the captain is trying to let everyone know who the dominant kitty is, and that he is displeased that his subordinate is forgetting that.
oooo sibling rivalry. it happens. I'm an only kitty so I'm no expert, but I have read in Cat Fancy that the bowls should probably be further apart. I don't remember why.
Chey might be right itmakes sense.
I'm glad your mommy is feeling better. Brochitis is no fun and no good at all.
Yep, I think maybe keeping the bowls farther apart so you each have your "own" space would be best. Sharing is hard.
Oh, we are so sorry to hear you aren't getting along. We both love to curl up in our mom's or our dad's lap - we don't mind sharing. We even eat out of the same food bowl, until our humans separate us to make sure Merlin eats his kitten food and I eat my prescription food.
We are glad that your mom is feeling better!
Captain Jack just pound him. Thats what I do to Guy. Stinky boy is always in my space.
Pee in the food bowl? Hum that does sound territorial. See what happens when you separate them.
He, he, he - sorry, but I can't help but giggle that "someone" peed in one of the food bowls! I have not heard of this before.
I am an only cat, except for my evil-alter-ego Hellie, but if Hellie started to spend too much time with my Mum I would definately pee in her food bowl!
We are so glad your mom's feeling better. Captain Jack, it sounds like you had a poopy weekend. Brothers can be like that sometimes. EG tries to whap me lots of time and then he chases me and bites me and I scream and then he gets in trouble. hee hee
Not sure about the peeing in the dish thing. That does not sound delicious. Momma's used feliway when we've been stressed. It's supposedly good for inappropriate peeing, but we haven't done *that* yet. heh heh You can get it at Petsmart, but it's kinda expensive.
Love,
Tazo
Sounds like you are being a sour puss because Dante was the early bird and got the worm. Purhaps that will teach you not to be such a lay about next time.
Hmm thats a new one, not even daddy's big, VERY territorial mancats who came before did that. We share a big crunches bowl (so did they)and then have our own stinky goodness bowls when we get that. We do not free feed though. Us girls will share as soon as momma puts food in the bowl. With the mancats who came before, Kit the alpha ate first then Tiger would come clean the bowl. ~Queen Snickers
Oh Jack thats not nice to pee in Sir Dante's bowl - whap him instead!
Mommy Bean says try to seperate the bowls a bit, it maybe a territory thing going on for some reason.
Mommy says that it is territorial, as Dante establishes his presence Jack will "show" him who is top cat.
Keep the bowls seperate and if you can, get some Feliway, Mommy swears by it, it's what helped a peaceful integration when I was introduced to our family!
Jack it sounds like Dante is staying one step ahead of you! Have you spent too much time napping recently?
To Jack & Dante's Mom - If removing one bowl eliminates the unwanted behavior, do it. Then put out one larger food bowl and see what happens. Check for litterbox issues: cleanliness, privacy, location and add another box in another location. The old adage is one box per cat, plus one.
Jack, I think there must be some mistake. Dante can't have done all those bad things as he is a Gorgeous Ginger and us GGs would never do anything bad. He is obviously being framed by Some Other Cat.
(Psst...Dante...where are the Greenies you said you would pay me for saying that??)
Glad to hear your Mommy is feeling better. Sorry to hear about you and Dante not getting along, but it will be ok. Someday, you will pee in his food bowl. I'm glad I'm an only cat!
Don't make me come over there and beat you up Capt. Jack - I may be tiny, but I'll have to defend my Darling Dante!
I hope that you both get over your bowl issues soon, maybe it's best if your Mommy takes up the other bowl? We all eat our crunchies out of the same bowl (we do have serious missing issues around the box though).
Purrs to my sweet Dante,
Pearl
Captain Jack, It's Gypsy here, and like a few other kittes have said, maybe if the food bowls were separated more it would help. When my little sister first arrived, we did the separate space thing, including eating separately. Later on we started eating together - we don't have big fights now 'cos Tasha knows I'm the boss, but it might be harder for two mancats like you and Sir Dante. Just try to chill out as best you can,
Your buddy Gypsy
I am glad your mommy is better now, but...

I think you and Dante need to settle up, hehehe~!!!!
I think you may ask why Merlin is so good with Dragonheart, they are very good with each other~~~~
I hope your relationship improve soon!!
Sometimes it's hard to share ~ we can understand what Captain is goind through rite now ~ fanks for visiting our bloggie though ~ u two are furry cute too :)
Love and purrs for u both from the SnowForest family :)
Ummm, I don't know what to say. I kind of like Dante. A lot.
Can't you try to like him? He is your brother now.
