Hey everyone! We thought we would log on and give everyone an update. LK, our new little brother, is home. Aunt Susan and Uncle Dave brought him about 8pm last night! Here are some of the first pictures of him here at home!
Captain Jack does not know what to think of him but is upset that he is here. Jack has been hissing and spitting at the little guy, and last night he pretty much refused to be anywhere near the kitten. Today the Captain is still growling and such, but his curiousity is winning and he is getting closer and closer to the kitten as time goes on. When LK gets put into his room, you can find Jack in the hall right outside, getting used to the new smells.
We could not have asked for a better reaction then the one Dante had. This is the worst it ever got with LK coming out to see Dante and Dante sniffing him for the first time. There has been no hissing and growling and these two are already playing! We have decided that LK's favorite toy is Dante and Dante's new favorite toy is LK. Dante follows him all over the house and has softly and gently (with no claws out) whapped him on the head and back. LK loves Dante and will attack his tail and chase him. We are very pleased with the two of them! Now if only the Captain would come around!!
The little guy seems to be having fun and enjoying his new home. He still has not really met the woofies (we let them smell him when he was in the carrier but if we are going to keep them physically seperate for a while) but he does want to play with Captain and Dante. We have yet to name him but hopefully he'll tell us what to call him soon. So far so good!
