Worried Wednesday

Hello friends!! Instead of the usual Wordless Wednesday today we are having Worried Wednesday in honor of Mommy. As you know, in the past couple of weeks Mommy's family has had Smudge and now Buck go to the Bridge. Those loses have made her very sad and also very worried.

Apparently humans have a saying that "Bad things always happen in threes" and since we have lost two fuzzy children, she is afraid of there being a third. This is compounded by the fact that on September 22nd, little Fagin is going for his hoo-haa-ectomy. Because of scheduling and such, Aunt Susan will not be doing the procedure. Another V-E-T she referred Fagin to will be doing it. Although Mommy has talked to Aunt Susan before and knows that the procedure is very quick and very easy (it's why Aunt Susan recommended us out to this other, less expensive vet. If Fagin were a girl Aunt Susan would do it and we would pay the higher ER V-E-T clinic cost but Aunt Susan feels Dr. Amy can do it no probem), she is nervous. Can you kitties and beans give her some encouragement? She has actually considered canceling Fagin's appointment and then tells herself she is being silly and he needs to have it done. Poor Mommy! She just needs some reassurance that everything will be fine.

my mommy would never let anything happen to Fagin so surely Dr Amy won't.

Our mum says she used to work for a V E T a lot of years ago and she has done the anaesthetic for many many hooha-ectomies, and she says it is a very quick straight forward procedure. She says don't worry, but she knows you will anyway. It's only natural to worry about our furr babies.

Oh please don't worry. The neuter procedure is really very easy. Vets can do them in a very short time so little anesthetic is used. The Woman says in most cases, once the cat is prepped and ready, last time we were working, it was literally about a five minute procedure. That was years ago, but I can't imagine they've lengthened the veterinarians part!

Fagin is a healthy guy. He'll do great.

We've been told that this should be a simple procedure so there shouldn't be anything to worry about! But we'll keep pawsitive thoughts and send some purrs and headbutts your way....

oh we really unnerstand. Our One Who Came Before was a special needs kitty and borned with lots of prollems, and our mommy said she werried and werried when he hadded his hoo-ha-ectomy. But he was just fine. MrsFagin'sMomm, will be ok. It's ok to be werried (mommy always is too). All of us went home 4 hours after our hoo-ha-ectomies and we was just fine. As a matter of fact, we doesn't think Billy even realized he hadded one - he woke up from the anesthesia bouncing around his cage. Our v-e-t uses a anesthesia that is very light and not difficult to wake up from. AND, we will send Billy to be with Fagin all day. - Sammy and Miles

WHAT? ME HAS NO HOO-HA'S? WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN? WOW, ME DOES NOT 'AMEMBER IT!!
ANYWAY, FAGIN!!!! PLAYPLAYPLAY!! DANCE AND PLAY!!! COME OFUR!!! - Billy

You tell your Mommie you understand her worries but everything is going be fine with Fagin and he needs to have his hoo ha hectomy. Daddy works with a non profit group every Tuesday and they do upwards of 100 operations a day...yep can you believe it? He said it takes the Vet about 10 minutes to do a boy kitty and that's it is a very simply operation. Fagin will be in and out in no time at all and back home and PLAY PLAY PLAY...he will do just great. Please reassure your Mommie that all will be OK....

Well it is only natural to worry about our loved ones, but I am sure everything will be fine. At the local shelter here, it only takes about 5 minutes to do a hoohaectomy!

Fagin will be just fine. Dr Susan wouldn't let Dr Amy do the surgery if she didn't think it wouldn't be all right. The "boy" surgery is lots less invasive that the "girl" surgery that Tazo had. Titus and EG both had no trouble at all. In fact, a few hours after Titus' surgery, the V-E-T's office called Mama and said that he was doing so well she could pick him up early. EG could've come home early, too, but Mama chose to let him spend the night there with me. (((hugs))) to your mom. We know how worried moms get sometimes.

Love,
tazo

Mom always worries a little bit, but it really will be OK. "Snip, Snip" and home the same day! And Fagin will be much better off in the long term. We are sure you already know this, but we understand that you are just nervous.

Tell your Mommie that I had the same thing done this year! When Momma took me in she actually cried! She is such a wuss.
It was over in a flash and I came home that afternoon.
Mom's worry about us so much, but this is such a fast and simple procedure. Tell your Mommie you will do great!!

Neuters are very, very very easy. Mommy used to help at the shelter all of the time with the spays and neuters and they go very quick with a minimum of anethesia.
But...we understand about worred Mommies - we have one too!

We think all humans worry whenever and whyever their furbaby is at the vet's. But Fagin should be fine.

We do understand your mom's extra worry, though, since she so recently lost two furries within the family.
