This was an attack from above lesson. I had the little guy jump off of the bottom step and attack my tail again so he could figure it out.
The next technique I taught was the face attack. I had Fagin use his claws and his teeth in order to perfect this attack.
Finally, I let Fagin build on the face attack with teeth and claw and added in the back leg kick. In this case, I had him bunnykick my nose to practice hitting the target. These lessons reminded me of the first pirate cat I ever trained almost four years ago. Can you guess who that was?
He certainly was one rowdy little pirate kitten and my best student ever. I love Captain Jack and I couldn't be prouder of how he turned out!
I wonder if Fagin will make me as proud?
PS: We are told that some of you are having problems seeing our bloggie right. We can see it fine so we do not know what is wrong or how to fix it. Anyone have any ideas??

Samwise, you are one great doggie sensei for pirate kittens!
Who won? ;)
Samwise, Gandalf just loves your name! ;-) You are doing an admirable job in Pirate-training! We know Fagin will be a very good Pirate! BTW, we can see your blog just fine.
Samwise
YOU are doing a marvelous job of teaching little Fagin how to become a pirate. And since you trained the best that there is I know he is capable hands...err paws!

Samwise, you are a very smart dog to teach the cat how best to fight. I bet you make a great pirate dog.
Samwise, it is very nice of you to help teach Fagin and to let him practice on you. :)
Samwise, you are a kind and patient instructor! I think Fagin is in good paws.
ps: the light background of your blog only extends part of the way down, so it is hard to read the writing against the dark background. I am not sure how to fix this. I use Firefox. Just noticed this a day or two ago; have you made any recent changes to your template?
You are a very good teacher Samwise!
Dearest Dante,
We're all headed down to play in your new cube toys! Maybe Jake and Bert can tucker out Fagin! We'll see you soon my sweet Pirate!
Purrs and Nosekisses,
Your Pearl
Samwise, you look like one very patient doggie! I am glad that you are training Fagin in such important matters, you must be a very good teacher - look at how wonderful Captain Jack turned out.
I LOVE the picture of Fagin attacking your nose - it made both Mum and I go SQUEEEEE..
Samwise you are a great teacher for little Fagin!! He looks to be a real fast learner. Good job training him!
Your blog looks okay to us! Sometimes blogger or one of the other widgits you might have on your blog take longer to load or just gets stuck, so everything doesn't always work. It's usually temporary and fixes itself. Ours did the same thing a few weeks ago and wouldn't let some non USA Bloggers on it, but it's working now.
Your FL furiends,
oh my gosh! Fagin can fit under the sofa? squeeeeeeeee he is so tiny and cute!
Samwise, you are a very good kitty trainer. I'm sure you'll do as well with Fagin as with Captain Jack.
What a sweet woofie you are!
Your bloggie works fine for me. You are doing a great job teaching little Fagin to be a good pirate cat!
Samwise you are a very good teacher! You really play with all your kitties well :-)
I use firefox and I'm still having the same problem today. However, I usually view your blog by the main page
(http://purrageouspirates.
blogspot.com/ ).
I discovered today if I click on the header of an entry (such as this one, http://purrageouspirates.
blogspot.com/2008/04/
tuxie-teacher-tuesday.html) it looks normal, the light background extends down the whole page.
However when I clicked on the direct link to Sunday's entry, http://purrageouspirates.
blogspot.com/2008/04/
lessons-on-sunday.html, it's difficult to read as the light background does not extended beyond your header. I don't understand why this direct link doesn't look right, when all the others I checked do.
I think Daisy's probably right. Did you make any changes between your April 18 and April 20th entry? With the April 20th entry is when I began having problems viewing.
I hope you can figure this out.
Samwise, you're very patient and generous in your offer to train Fagin.
Samwise you are one great woofie to teach the pirate kittys! Headbutts to you!!!
We tried your bloggie in both firefox and in IE. IE works fine (imagine that???) but firefox shows all brown background with blue letters after the first sentence (we's highlight the letters to reads them). We's also tried it on the Imac and Windows based systems. I am not sure hows to fix this...
Samwise, you are an AWESOME doggie to teach Fagin all that! It looks like he's learning well
Looks like you are teaching little Fagin some great moves!
Thanks for stopping by! Wishing you all a very happy earth day!
Love,
Opus and Roscoe
Samwise you are a very good pirate training instructor.
We couldn't read your blog with Firefox after the first two lines, so we used AOL's browser and it's ok with that.
Oh Samwise! You are a great and patient teacher! I am so glad you are letting Fagin hone his pirate skills on you.
We haven't been here in a couple of days and when we arrived, we can't read the blog either. It's all dark brown with blue writing. We had to highlight and scroll to find where to click for comments.
We read Daisy's comment. We use Firefox too, so we tried IE to see if it works in that browser and it does. It's got the light blog in the middle and brown on each side.
We don't know how to fix it and we just noticed tt already checked with IE and other browsers. We'll keep checking back. We like your blog and know they can be a mystery sometimes.
Boy!!! You are one great teacher!! I think Fagin will turn out just fine ;)
Two for two,Samwise!!!
Purrs Mickey
Samwise, you are a very good pirate trainer. You are also very brave to teach those kitties how to attack. I used to let EG play rough with me. And now I'm sorry. hehe
Titus
PS - We haven't been able to see your when we're using Firefox. The light beige part only shows up for a little bit at the top of the page and then it's gone. And then it's hard to see the letters against the brown background. But Momma just tried it in Internet Explorer and it showed up just fine. It must be some sort of firefox thang.
Samwise...yoo are a wise and wunnerful woofie, we wish we had one like yoo.
You are a furry fun bunch!
Excellent training!
You are very good to let Fagin practice with you. We don't have any problems viewing your blog so we can't help - sorry.
Tiki, Tavi, Cody and Camie
Samwise you are doing an awesome job.
We have no trouble looking at your bloggie.
