Uncle Dave called last night to tell us some very bad news. You guys may remember Quasimodo, the one eyed Persian cat that owned Aunt Susan and Uncle Dave. Quasi had not been eating for two days and had gotten really thin. He was actively in kidney failure, and though we all knew he would be leaving for the bridge, we did not know it would be so soon. Around 9pm last night, Quasi crashed in Aunt Susan's arms as she was trying to determine how to best treat him. Unfortunately, she could not bring him back and Quasi left us for the Bridge. We are all very very sad here at the Black Furrball and to honour our friend, we dedicate this post to one brave pirate kitty. We'll miss you and we love you.

Oh no - that is so sad. Please pass our purrs on to Uncle Dave and Aunt Susan, they must be very, very sad today. We're sure that he wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere else when he crossed the bridge.
My sweetest Ginger ManCat,
Thank you for coming to my defense. Mommy was really pretty hissed at that lady (who did apologize later). I think that lady is just crazy, and will probably be a bit shocked when her kitten keeps growing! In the mean time, purrhaps I'll come down there - it's raining and snowing and generally cruddy here today.
Purrs and Nosekisses,
Your Black Pearl

I am sorry to hear about Quasi. He is in a better place now. My sissy, Jewels had kidney failure and was put to sleep in '01. I will keep you all in my prayers!
I am so sorry about Quasi, I know how you feel, in the last two weeks we lost our beloved dog Willow and pet ferret Storm. Quasi is running free of pain with the others at the Bridge.
It's always sad when a family member goes to The Bridge, but now he's free of pain.
Big hugs to your Aunt Susan and Uncle Dave for losing their friend. Quasi must have been comforted to be with those he loved the most when he crossed to the bridge.
